This is a true vintage item from the 1950-1960s. She requires just a tiny bit of TLC to bring her back to new - it's not her fault, she is 60+ years young. Read on for all the details.
This lovely lady is estimated to have been made between 1955-1964. She is a wonderful, lined, woolen coat in the smooth long shape of the times. She has 10 gold buttons down the front in the style of the times, plus hidden press-studs to keep her gorgeous pointed collar flat.
As mentioned, we estimate she was made between 1955-1964, so she is not without the need for TLC, which is reflected in the great price for this item.
Her lining has pulled from two places, as described below. This should be an easy fix for anyone handy with a needle and thread, as per images below. Also see larger images in the product images.
Sizing:
Bust: 84cm
Waist: 74cm
Hips:  Free
Length: 104cm
We estimate this to best suit an Australian size XS/8
How do we age this dress?
We can age this garment by the Union label that is attached to it. We know that the womenswear with the blue label and the scalloped edge were manufactured between 1938 and 1964. The style of this dress indicates it was made in the late 50s/early 60s

This is super important, as it supports an ethic only coming back into mainstream style today; this means workers were paid fair wages and not subjected to oppressive work environments.
